A lotion pump, also called a pressed lotion pump, is a liquid dispenser that uses the principle of atmospheric balance to pump out the material in the bottle by pressing and replenishing the outside atmosphere into the bottle.

 

First press

When pressing the head for the first time, the piston head is compressed together with the spring by the connecting rod; in the process of compressing the spring, the outer wall of the piston opens the discharge hole of the piston head by rubbing against the inner chamber wall of the cylinder; when the piston slides downward, the air inside the cylinder is discharged through the already opened discharge hole of the piston head.

 

Pressing repeatedly

The air inside the cylinder is discharged by repeated presses.

 

Liquid suction

After the air is discharged from the cylinder by pressing the piston head by hand through the connecting rod, the piston head, and the piston, the spring is compressed together and the piston head is released, the spring moves backward (upward) due to the loss of pressure. At this time, the liquid storage cavity in the cylinder forms a vacuum to absorb the liquid state, the ball valve will be sucked upward, the liquid in the bottle will be sucked into the liquid storage cavity of the cylinder through the suction tube.

 

Liquid storage

The liquid is stored in the cylinder by repeatedly pressing the betting head and sucking the liquid several times until the liquid storage is full.

 

Discharge

When the liquid in the cylinder storage chamber is full, the liquid is ejected directly from the nozzle of the nozzle through the discharge hole by pressing the nozzle again.
